Yeah but the act of smoking or consuming something is not adding to criminality of it.

It's the consequence of a prohibition many years ago that has caused us to be in the situation we are currently at.

So the only reason to keep things illegal would be to let the black market criminals carry on doing what they do in the hope that they are doing something less harmful than they would do if we took that away from them. Isn't that allowing us as a society to allowing criminals to dictate the rules, something that is very unBritish.
