If there's a red card on one side, there's usually another for the other team in the second half.

If there's one ridiculous pen given away, a ref literally will award one on contact to the other team

Plus most fouls don't get leeway, if it is technically a booking, it's given, and everyone gets one till both sides have 6 each and a red

Everyone knows where they stand, and what's coming if they do it, and it happens

This league, you have all this "the ref's trying to keep the game going", then you get Liverpool Chelsea where Gerrard does a very bad tackle and isn't even booked, then a short time later Lampard plays the ball and is sent off

At least in La Liga they'd have both gone and not as much fuss would have been made by both teams about they way it went
