Windows Update wont solve s**t

unless it happens to be an up to date version of the graphics driver I suppose. I'd guess that the resolution/no. colours, etc. is set to something daft for the screen (all our XP PCs at work come with some ridiculously low-res default). But if Charles is saying that some things look good and others don't then I'm not sure what might be wrong.
