totally agree

just as with Grant, and with Roeder, (oh and let's face it going back to Worthington slipping in by default) there's going to be that 'underwhelmed' feeling, driven partly by the fact that there really are very few inspiring and amazing managers. So it's almost best to expect to be disappointed, or to see, as you suggest, trundle along and review where we are in May.

And I know I've said this before, but I think we have to consider relegation, and what sort of manager could survive it, if such a species exists in this fickle world. I know it's worst-case scenario and I'm being doom-and-gloom, but someone who can deal with a failure that's not of their own making would be a pretty tough candidate, who might therefore be better-equipped to steer away from it.

But I'm still clueless.
