stretch clingfilm over a mug or cup or something

make a little well. Drop egg into it. Gather up cling film to make a nice egg pouch. Then drop into the hot water. Lift out when it starts to set depending on your tastes. Unwrap cling film.
I find a deeper well so there's more gathering above the egg works best.
