spectrum is a really commonly-used term tho
you seem pretty well informed to me.
Do agree with yarmyyarmy that it's much more complicated than simply a line between 'mild' and 'severe'. And sometimes I get the sense that the particular diagnoses / terms - eg Aspergers - don't really mean very much at all. Just a collection of a few similar behaviour traits - but other traits that people diagnosed with 'Aspergers' have will be completely different.
All very complicated. (And I'll bet there's some wrathers who, if they had been born 15-20 years later, would have been diagnosed as being on the spectrum....)
