Who do you think will win Sports Personality of the Year?

Lewis Hamilton - surely not. Almost f**ked it up again, and anyway it's all down to the geeks who design the engine

Ben Ainslie - well maybe. He's a proper legend, golds at three consecutive Lympics. And he always has to convince the selectors to take him, which they seem curiously reluctant to do. But sailing is a bit under the radar and I think he'll have to wait till his fourth gold in 2012

Becca Adlington - no chance

Calzaghe - nope, all he's done this year is beat a couple of past it Yanks both of whom put him on his arse

Andy Murray - surely he's got to win a Grand Slam event before the public overcomes its dislike of whining Jocks

Christine Ohuruogu - tainted by drug suspicions, nope

Chris Hoy - Mr Thunder Thighs. Serious contender, but I think bound to be pipped by

Bradley Wiggins - on the basis that he is the bloke who drank 14 pints a day for about 2 years after the last Lympics, I reckon he is going to win. We love a boozer

Rebecca Romero and Nicole Cook - I had to Google them to find out what they'd won so I suspect not
