Yes, I think all have played well on occasions but

my worry is that the sum total of the parts is the problem.

We have all seen managers get teams of pretty ordinary players to perform above themselves. Martin O'Neill is an expert at it, some would say it was Brian Clough's strength, way back Ron Saunders did it for us.

But what Roeder seems good at is taking individually quite talented players and moulding them into a lousy unit. Now that is bad mangement.

And it's not just an opinion, the actual facts of his tenure as City manager tell their own story.
