Yesterday
Really felt for Hoolahan - thought he was looking sharp and playing with real intent, possibly the best 20 mins I've seen from him for us. Had to be the one to go, though, the way the team was set up.
Didn't think anyone let themselves down, they were all sharp and eager. Highlights: Marshall, Croft, Clingan, Pattison, Bell.
Mt man-of-the-match would be either Marshall or Clingan. Some really good saves from Marshall, and Clingan showed class both in midfield, and as centre-back.
Someone yesterday posted moaning about the stewards not letting Norwich fans stand up. No idea where that came from - stewards near us told us to sit down twice in the first five minutes, realised it wasn't going to happen, and then let us stand for the rest of the game.
Fans sang for 90 minutes, non stop, great atmosphere. Really proud of the support - Selwyn can disappear up his own hoop.
Lita and Fotheringham threw their shirts into the crowd at the end - think it was as a thank-you for the great support. You could see the win, the performance and the reciprocal support really meant a lot to the players. All this horses**t about the players not caring, and not wanting to play for the manager is just that - hoses**t.
Great day - good reminder why I spend all that time and money watching Norwich. Even when it's s**t, sometimes its really really good.
Nevermind - we'll lose the next one and we can all have a moan again.
