Well by that I mean, was the reason that
he was a paranoid schizophrenic (which he was, unknown to us - nice one, Human Resources you cnuts) and thought he was fighting off the demons from hell, or was he clear of mind at the time and did it cos he was obsessed with the victim's bird and upset cos they had just got engaged two weeks earlier.
I think the one lasting thing for colleagues (apart from losing the victim) is that if it was, as we suspect, the schizo episode scenario then it makes you look at people differently. Sort of sideways, with one eye closed.
