Without going into it deeply, my best mate is the opposite and thinks bridges can be built with people who are just frankly, lost, or cranks

Been tolerant to her ideals for 2 years now. I just said to her the other day that I'm not going in a certain pub anymore. And she wants to be mates with me, we'll not drink in there

That eradicates the cranks, she can go in there to her hearts content and try and be mates with people who don't care about her. I won't be there to watch the desperate situation any more

They are, like you say, wrong people to be around, people in their 40's, single, drunk, giving out advice on how wrong other peoples lives are etc

I can't do with it, it's boring
