Resident Evil 4 is my current fave...

Mario and Zelda are both excellent too.

Some games really make good use of the Wii remotes, but some are just like standard PS2 games. If you want serious gaming go for an Xbox or PS3 but for casual/multiplayer games then the Wii is a good bet.
