I think it's safe...
to assume that most of the loanees GR has aquired for us he would have been pleased to purchase had he had the funds. I roughly calculate that do have done that he would have spent between ?10 and ?15 million. Clearly there would have been even more discontent than there is now had he done this and I would suggest that if large sums should miraculously become available for purchases it is not to him that they should be trusted....we've got world class facilities though!
