some reviews- and nothing to do with my opinion at all!

Went to see Steve Coogan last night in the Echo Arena, Liverpool. Think it was the second night of his UK tour. All I can say, is if you've got tickets, try and get your money back or sell them on.
The most terrible live show I have ever seen by any comedian, he completely lost the audience. Many didnt bother coming back for the second half. Pauline and Paul Calf, Duncan Thicket, Saxondale and Alan Partridge all made appearances, but the jokes were tired, the mikes kept breaking, he forgot his lines, and mucked up jokes. The interim acts between characters were truly dreadful and the Thomas More play, written, starring and directed by Alan Partridge was shockingly unfunny. And the "Everyone's a bit of a **** sometimes" song at the end was very poor.
Throughout the second half of the performance people were piling out, and many werent shy about making their feelings known. One bloke who shouted "This is cabbages shyte Steve" as he and his mates left got the biggest laugh of the night. I left right at the end, didnt bother to stay and clap, and the programme sellers got a right mouthful from the ****** off and departing crowd. ?30 to watch that crap. Jesus.

My mates who went last night said the same too... such a shame as some of the live shows a few years back were different class.
Schluck, du Luder! 13 Oct 16:02
i've heard the same, ah well at least i've got tickets at the back. Sunshine was also ******, just shows what the white stuff and a succession of god awful yanks films can do to a career.

i saw coogan at oxford - agree with comments so far.
he was reading the lines from cue cards for most characters.
partridge was good as was thicket. the rest was doughnuts.
thomas more was just not partridge, even though it was meant to be.
coogan is (has been) alot funnier - he seemed to have a go at the press with his last song. partridge even seemed to snap at the "Aha" catch phrase - coogan shouted back "AHA, AHA, AHA - there you go - you think that's funny!!?"

A mate of mine went to Stoke to see him and said he was absolutely dire.
Peacesmissingchequebook 13 Oct 18:43
My mate sat on the front row and said he could see him reading lines that he'd written on his hand.
"I want that night of my life back" was his comment.

Very poor review in tonight's Liverpool Echo 5/10. He's on again tonight in Liverpool - bet he's rewriting the show right now. After what I've read today I feel sorry for those who are going.

we went on Sunday at the Echo Arena(as fans of some of his characters)looking forward to a good night ,we left just before the Moore play cos we couldnt take any more,Alan Partridge was the highlight and i can only describe him as pish poor,we drove home not believing what we had just witnessed. One thing i can say is that the change of costume interludes where the most embarrassing piece of stage we have ever seen, how could they have rehearsed this rubbish and thought it was good enough is beyond me,like people have stated before if you can get a refund do,it really is not worth wasting 2 hours of your life.
tell me tomorrow how good it was
