I agree in theory...

... But to me, that argument is a lot like the one that says to clubs like Newcastle or Tottenham: "Look at Man Utd and Arsenal - they stuck with their managers, and have had huge success". Sure - but it rather helped that Wenger was successful so quickly, and Fergie, after a rocky period, started transforming them too.

The parallel being that it's all very well talking about consistency of selection - but if the team's not firing, any manager would chop and change. And with a relatively thin squad, it's bloody hard finding the right combination I'm afraid.
