You're deliberately missing the point

there has been recent history of letting players go, not for money (as we managed with the two ludicrous examples you've quoted), but because it's been fairly arbitrarily decided that they're past their best before date. And it has had a detrimental effect - malky and roberts were huge influence on the famous team spirit, and - with obvious exceptions like you - hucks had a very positive effect on the fans.
I'm not advocating a return, or even totally in disagreement that it might have made sense for him to go when he did, but I think the 'he's gone, get over it' is over-simplistic.
Oh - and why is it acceptable for you to tell people what the can and can't discuss? Was your job in the army actually striking the blue pencil on letters home?
