There is one posibility that has not been discussed.......

Its a long shot............ but not unrealistic.

Its possible that somehow the bets were past posted.

Lets say that the group betting were able to hack the system and change the bet times slightly.

The "incident" happened at 5 mins after half time.

What if they could change the bet times by say 10 mins

They would see Derby go down to 10 men and 1-1 and then bet.

Sure it sounds far fetched but not impossible.

If the above were possible then obviously no rigging took place by the teams.
