Similar symptoms. In my case the optic nerve is fecked.
Scar tissue on the outer sleeves due to massive tissue damge during an infection.
According to a world reknowned Ophthalmist at Addenbrookes, I am fairly unique in the world to have such huge damage from one attack:-(
