dropped the ball in the net or

come for a corner and completely missed it, come for a corner and 'accidentally' fumbling the ball to an opposing player

or

rolled the ball out to one of his defenders 'accidentally' rolling it a little to close to an opposing attacker

or

f**ked up a goal kick so it 'accidentally' goes to the opposition striker

and or all equally or more likely to lead to a goal against a goalkeeper that wants to give away a goal - plus they have the added advantage of the keeper being able to try them again should the first effort fail

if the bets in question were simply concerned with a penalty being given away in the first 20 minutes then of course it's absolutely possible that Carroll could be guilty, if it's to do with fixing the result of the match itself then it really doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
