...and it isn't being unreasonable or "daring" to suggest it, as they are a better side than us-well, the papers, especially the tabloids, will go completely ballistic!

There will be "in depth" surveys and inquests on a daily basis, old timers like Jimmy Greaves will be wheeled out to give their opinion-and waste some space and time by going on about Alf Ramsey and how they played for a half of mild and some woodbines (yawn)-"The Sun" will superimpose a picture of a root vegetable over Capello's head and call for Harry Redknapp, people will say we need players with "passion" and who will "die for the shirt", completely forgetting that we tried that with Kevin Keegan and that ended up with (a) him crying, and (b) everyone laughing at him anyway & adding we needed the "technique of a continental Manager"...

...we'll then see so-and-so's "Team for the 2012 Euro Qualifiers" which will have that kid from Man United in goal, Gabby A at Villa in attack & John Bostock in it, leader writers will demand that we "pull out" of the qualifiers and that we focus on Northern Ireland because their players only earn tuppence ha'penny a week and all live on rubbish dumps....

Meanwhile, during the game, that f**king band will get on my tits again for 90 minutes.
