Yes, but what do I know?

Tactically, I thought he was so far ahead of the rest of the squad it was ridiculous; his movement off the ball was absolutely top-drawer, but we rarely seemed capable of putting passes together to take advantage. What went on behind the scenes, who knows? Maybe he was a poor trainer; there are players like that, but it seemed that he would come on and do more in 10 or 15 minutes than that muppet Brown had managed in 75, and then wouldn't be seen for another few weeks.

By the time Plymouth rolled around, I would guess he was lonely, homesick, and generally fed up with being f**ked around. In and of itself, I simply cannot believe that coming on at 0-3 down for 11 minutes with an utterly abject shower of s**t around him was enough to get him released - seriously, what was he going to do?

I suspect it was more that Roeder needed the money due on his loan (Strange deal I'm not sure I fully understand) to play with.

Would he fit in with our current squad? Probably - I always thought he'd do better with the ball on the floor and some space to turn, not getting neck-ache as it was humped 50 yards at him.

All rather academic now, though.
