I think our "natural position"

is still probably somewhere in the lower reaches of the top tier - occasionally challenging for Europe, and occasionally being relegated - which is really where we were from 72-95.
The problem is that if the Wynn-Jones worldview is allowed to prevail THIS will become our natural position. It will then eventually be accompanied by gates of 9,000 and bankruptcy.
