I used to stagger start, as I could react to the gun faster
That kind of start meant you were in and out the water from the landing
I liked it cos I was first out the blocks and leading, gave me an extra boost
Downside was you could get disqualified now and again because it looks like you've gone before the gun because you've reacted faster than everyone else
Only happened twice to me, but hacked me off nevertheless
