Yes there is in breaststroke and backstroke (possibly fly, I can't remember),

although I've been out of the ssport for 10 years now so rules might have changed.
However, that's not the issue for turns. It's the wash and turbulence from the walls and bottom that is the issue. Much less in a deep pool.
However, less "exciting" as anyone who has tried tumble turns in the 2' 6" end of a pool will testify :-(
