I agree with you to a point but

what matters is how players perform when it really matters ie on the pitch. Shackell was by far our best centre back when Worthie eventually decided to pick him ( I`ve not heard anyone disagree with this least of all Worthie who stated at the end of last season that he hoped to retain the spine of the team ie Green, Shackell, Francis and Ashton) and his performances pre season ( I saw the Colchester and Inter Milan games ) were literally head and shoulders above either doc of Flem.
I remain confident that Worthie will pick Shackell but he will be barmy if he doesnt. Doing it in training means jack**** on the field of play.
