Noted That As Well Mr C...
For Wes and Sammy C, online and on Ceefax, and now, again, for the Fulham signings-Ceefax and a couple of online sports sites yesterday.
Ceefax had the story about Lisbie signing for Ipswich yesterday and no mention of it there, nor on any of the other stories about completed signings, Infact, I have only seen it stated in connection with ours.
No sign of any press conference to announce any of the signings or introduce the players, well, fair enough, but little news in general, not even any photos-unless I have missed them-of the players holding the shirt up etc etc, which are very much the norm. They have been announced by the club and remained quite low key.
I am sure it is because we are keeping it all low key ourselves, but those statements do make you wonder as to the validity of the players, or, as someone pointed out yesterday, who "owns" them-which could be why they seem to have all taken so long to complete-which is a big legal thing with the FA and Football League and that not all the t's and i's are yet crossed and dotted.
Wes, Sammy and now Stefanovic, all seem to have taken an age to go through, but it could just be us dragging our heels? However, it does make me wonder...
