Fellow Cricgol lovers, answer me this
What is our obsession (esp at Lords) with batting wickets?
I've never understood the appeal of watching batsman ease through for 5 days and no result being produced.
I don't agree with going too far the other way and getting 3 day tests, but surely the ptiches should be prepared to get a result?
Sounds like excuses I know, but england bowled pretty well yesterday. Not particually wayward, kept it in decent areas.
Fair play to Smith and Mckenzie, but all they've really done is what they should have done first time around.
