Running along the line of logic, you could suggest that the "Delia to stay on at the front of the club" thing is bulls**t. I think he wants her out altogether but doesn't want us to know that.

He definitely wants us on his side, though. " Do you like me or them? Honest answers please. Take your time, and while you make your minds up I'll just fan myself with this twenty million quid".

He had one other advantage when he forst went to the press: at that point, unlike the board, he hadn't yet f**ked us up. Thing is, I think he has, now.
