That's a business judgement

Well managed debt need not be a burden and may be a necessary evil. However, since NCFC (and, bar a very few, so are all other football clubs) appears to be a loss making enterprise there may well be much to be gained by paying off some or all of the debt.

And, remember, while we're paying off the debts there's less investment in the playing side.

Right now, it seems to me the club has the worst of both worlds: increasing debt and next to no investment in the team. Therefore we need investment from somewhere and it'd be foolish to not fully investigate serious offers when they come along.
