Timing

I suppose there isn't a good time if it's going to involve a long and bloody battle but you would have hoped it could be done and dusted in principle and in private before the plc requirements had to be met and then announced as a recommended offer.

I do wonder whether Delia's cryptic comments at the RNS led PC to think that he might miss out because another investor was in the wings.

Whatever happens on the PC front, I am s**tting myself about going into the Coventry game with half a squad and maybe a few loanees! Please God there is some money kicking around somewhere and GR has a handful of new signings to announce....
