Or more likely it demonstrates what pathetic specimins smokers are - they won't go to the pub (even if as a result it closes) if they can't smoke because they are incapable of it as they are just hopelessly addicted junkies.

They make a big deal about it being about "freedom of choice" to avoid facing the reality that they are simply too weak to quit.
