The alternative

would be for BBC to shove the footy on BBC3 or 4. In which case they could get rid of Hansen / Lawrensen and co and put some less recognisable people on, who're actually interested and interesting.

Would have thought this tournament - ie with no England - would have been the perfect one to do this on. But guess they paid too much for it to dare.
