I've hit a telegraph pole.

At about 20mph in a Maxi. Ididn't see ice and tapped brakes whilst steering. The pole snapped. Bloody scary as it starts to fall. Fortunately for me, it missed the roof of the car and went over the bonnet.

I can safely say that it isn't a recommended activity, even at low speed.
