Alot is made about how on the last day

it was great to see us attacking and playing great stuff

Yet we lost 4-1

The case didn't make any sense. If Huckerby isn't going to defend then we're effectively a man down in midfield. Which in my opinion is why we lost a fair few games last season, and the run of games in which Roeder achieved a lot of points, didn't actually have Huckerby in the team

On the surface it looks a shame that Huckerby is gone, but when you break down the facts, if he stayed he'd almost certainly take Roeder down in the first few months of next season, until another manager was left with this difficult situation
