Perhaps the photographer got bored. Or the "burst" function thing on his camera only does
bursts of three, or a sparrow swooped near the lens, or he had a stroke, or tripped on a pebble and mucked up the next pic, or his batteries ran out, or his kids rugby tackled him from behind for a laugh and he missed the getting back up, or he ran out of memory on his camera, or he saw something more interesting like a Grebe.
