You're are right though, just not this time

I've been friends with 2 other girls, and in both circumstances things get in the way, confusion, misinterpreted signals etc

In the best of intentions, it's a doomed concept. In general, it's just as you say, a denial on one persons part, and to the other, they are bait to look good in public or get a shag elsewhere

It's not something I'll entertain again with the above reasons, I spent 3 years being friends with someone who just thrived on making others think I fancied her. When I didn't bite, she just thought I was gay

After one night when she was all over me rat arsed, looking for a reaction, I just walked off, tried to talk about it sober. She instead went and shagged someone I knew for a reaction

Did more damaged to him in the end, as he liked her. I just walked away from it all

Saw her in the supermarket the other week and just pretended I didn't see her. I could hear about 5 minutes later talking to her friend about how I'd just blanked her and I was her friend etc etc etc

I didn't half chuckle to myself, lovely old neurotics

So I can see your point. This is different though
