Usually v minor, £10 or so. Phone up Visa or Amex and they always give a refund, no probs.

Actually, now I remember, a couple of years ago Visa allowed someone to make 3 or 4 £400 purchases at a Tesco in somewhere ghastly like Swindon on Christmas Eve. At the same time they could see that we were spending money on the "same" card in Fort William on the same day! They coughed up immediately this was gently pointed out to them. The card had been cloned, they said.

Anyway, what fills one's pants is the fact that lists of stolen card details get bought and sold, and that someone might enter them onto a child pron site FFS. Those poor bastards who have their doors kicked in the police ... that is bad, bad juju.
