If so, that's bindweed, that is. And you'll never be rid of it. It's a convolvulus, and like a lot of other convolvuluses it can look quite pretty if trained up a cane or something.

But IT WILL NEVER DIE. Seriously, you only need a tiny fragment of root left in the ground, and that root will grow and sprout. Plus it develops under ground runners, too, so it spreads like a french pox through a seventeenth century shipping port.

I've got it in my garden - all you can do is dig it out whenever you see signs to keep it at bay. Avoid weed killers, there's just no point.
