Nice bit of research - thanks
I was thinking of doing something similar, but you just saved me the time :-)
Personally, balancing all the data from last season, I am pretty confident we have the right man for the job. Roeder's management team seem to work well togther, and I like his approach of having a distance between him and the players, while his assistant is seen as 'one of the boys'.
As everybody knows, the next 3 months will make or break next season but, this is where I think we have the best manager in the division. Everything you read about Roeder states that he is highly respected in the game and can get through to pretty much any Prem manager, to ask about players. I'm guessing that is not the case with most Championship managers and so we have a significant advantage over most teams in transfer dealing (I hope....).
Take the scum for example. 12m quid in the bank (public knowledge) and they only sign 1 of their 3 or 4 targets in january. Meanwhile, Roeder quietly reshapes our entire squad, with loanees. Just think how many calls a Prem manager would be getting every single day in January. They are also trying to get players in themselves so, they will be very selective with who they talk to about outgoing loans. Who would Wenger et al respond to? Roeder, who he knows personally, or a squeeky voiced guy he has never heard of???
Anyway, time will tell.
