Yet another Hucks story
In our premiereship year I took my son then aged 8 up from Colchester where we lived to Colney . It was a snowy early January day and the players were just coming off the training ground.
Hucks was Duncan`s hero and Duncan nervously approached him. Hucks immediatedly put his arm around him and led him to the entrance of changing and dining rooms and told him to wait. About a minute later he came out and took us into the dining area to enable Duncan to meet the players and get photo and
autographs.
He also had a chat with Duncan and generally made us feel welcome. What a star. A man who recognised the importance of the fans , took the hero worship in his stride and made the time to look after Duncan.
I am still very angry at the clubs treatment of Hucks and as a shareholder and a three year season ticket holder I am writing a personal letter to the Board telling them that they should feel ashamed of allowing GR to treat both Hucks and the fans the way that has happened ie with contempt which is exactly teh opposite of how Hucks has treated both the club and the fans.
