A Hux story

I've been a bit off the pace lately - working too hard so I can get off to France Satdee.

However, I just wanted to post this.

In the week after Hux great game against Cardiff and leading up to the Scum game I had to go to a funeral. All a bit sad of course but there WAS a wake. One of the persons there was a Scummer. Not his fault, not a bad bloke at all can't help where he was born etc.

Anyway we had the usual chat as you do about the deceased. He then took a large swig of beer and when he turned round he had on his face a look of sheer terror.

"Do you think" he said "that you'll sign Huckerby before Sunday"

"Well" I said. "A bloke I know who works in the ticket office and has good gen usually, tells me it's nailed on for today or tomorrow and he boy can't wait to get stuck into you lot" Of course I know no such bloke but f**k it, decent guy and all that but this geezer's a Scummer.

"Fuck" he said. You could see the massive effort to control the bowel movements and then the realisation that the bog was necessary and now. As elegantly as he could, he left the room, possibly just in time.

Hux, if you had that effect on the Scum without kicking a ball. you'll do me.
