Gunn was sold, as was flem while under contract.
Flem got a testymoanial.

Hucks was a situation clearly coming to a head with his contract running out.
Therefore much easier to deal with to give both parties a chance to say cheerio.
In fact this makes it worse as its rare for fans or a player to have such a clear 'end' to a career, that to not give that chance is a real shame, as most just get sold and shipped out on short notice.
