FAO: People what know about that there XBOXs and wireless stuffs

Right, I want to buy an XBOX 360 which I would like to use to play games on and play against people online...but which one should I get? There seems to be so many different bloody versions.

So let's assume that I have got a lovely new XBOX, what kit do I need to get it hooked up to the internetwork? Does it come with wireless like the Wheeeeeeeeeee does? The only problem is that my internet connection is all the way at the top of my palatial abode and the place I want the XBOX is on the bottom floor, past the servant's quarters, in the Jim Duffy Memorial Wing.

Beyond knowing that I would need a wireless router, plus a wireless card for me 'pooter and some way of connecting it to the XBOX, I am f**king clueless.
