Slightly inebriated, he started at the top of the stand steps:

Staggering hesitantly, slowly
Staggering faster
Cantering
Striding, 3-4 steps at a time
Coming to a shuddering halt at the bottom of the stand, painfully against the barrier.

All the while with the Norwich fans giving him the "Woooooooooooaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh - Hooray!", and "She fell over, she fell over"
