I gave up being an England football fan ages ago.

I feel no rapport at all with the players, I also don't believe they are 'up for it' to the level of other National Teams.

It's getting an old cliche now but I have the attitude of
"why should I watch these over paid arrogant fools that don't care less" maybe not accurate but it's how I feel.
