To be fair to Worthington, his final signings - Croft and Dublin - were pretty good.

It's only 2005-6 that I have a massive problem - I actually thought his signings in 2004-5 were decent enough - Ashton, Bentley, Safri, Helveg and Jonson all looked like good signings to me at the time - problem was he didn't know how to handle them, or wasn't prepared to play them ahead of his favourites.
