What about Derry City then?

Derry play in the Republic Of Ireland league and have represented them in Europe a few times (such as when dicking Gretna the other year).
Derry is in Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland has a national team and a league of roughly equal standard to the Republic.

What's the difference?
