Prince Harry is to resume his role training young soldiers in the techniques he learned in battle during his 10-week tour of duty in Afghanistan, The Daily Telegraph has learned. The Prince, who had the lives of troops in his hands in his role as a Forward Air Controller (JTAC), will help train fellow members of the Household Cavalry before they are posted to Iraq and Afghanistan. Prince Harry is in line to receive an Operational Service Medal for Afghanistan

In his role in the volatile Helmand province, the Prince was calling in air strikes and carrying out surveillance of Taliban fighters. His military base, only 500 yards from Taliban positions, came under mortar and machine gun attack five times every day. It was Prince Harry who would give final clearance for attacks on Taliban targets. He also guided in some bombing runs.
