it's all basic economic principles at play here isn't it?

Pompey have a player, Scum want to use him, fitness of player in the summer is not worth as much to Pompey as having player on cover, therefore Scum are forced to up their offer by offering to pay however many thousands so Pompey agree to the loan deal
