Yes, I do find it poorly written, it is a national newspaper..

not some bloody Sixth form magazine. If he is being paid as a professional, he should do a professional job. I couldn’t give a monkeys how many thousands of articles are out there, they should have proper journalistic standards.

If he had amazing talent, or insight then I doubt as many people would be bothered how he got the job, but he doesn’t.

And yes, I do think a lot of people are upset because someone else didn’t get the job…a lot of people are actually bothered by such things, especially when opportunities to work in that area are so limited in the first place.

I’m sure he would have gone on the trip anyway, but should he paid to write his self-involved witterings, just because his father knows someone at the paper?
